About Tara Kryman

Tara is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania.
She obtained her Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2000 from Immaculata University

She has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years treating all age groups in a variety of different environments including rehabilitation centers, adolescent residential facilities, school, home and in the private practice setting.

Tara's client's describe her as kind, encouraging, soft-spoken, and genuinely interested in everything shared, coming back with thought provoking questions and suggestions that you can apply to your life.

Tara is a Christian therapist and will incorporate faith-based therapy into treatment, if it is requested by the client. However, this is not a requirement for therapy with her. She has a passion to provide services to clients of all backgrounds, faiths, or none at all.

As a specialist in anxiety-related disorders Tara will come alongside of you to help identify effective life long tools to reduce or eliminate your symptoms. She will do this using cognitive-behavioral, exposure response prevention and attachment theory approaches.  Tara believes in the importance of building safe connections which are critical in fostering the healing and growth processes.  For many she realizes this may be the first time in doing so.   In therapy, the client is empowered to work through their struggles with specific goals and often times exercises to begin practicing outside of therapy.    Tara understands that it is important to find balance and to do so, treatment of the entire person emotionally, behaviorally, physically and spiritually is required. All parts of the individual are addressed in the process of obtaining wholeness.
